Thank you for sharing these life changing thoughts on worship. Always happy to still be learning! This is so interesting...I have never thought of worship as a lifestyle.

Great song, Jamie. The story is told simply and in a way that I could hear a congregation declaring "King of heaven, King of earth" together as I listened to it. This will bless your local fellowship. It blessed me.

When you define worship as a response to knowing God as creator, it's hard to think about the study of theology as dry and boring. And really no matter what we study or enjoy it all points back to God somehow, either as creator or redeemer.

My sentiments as well. I found myself engaged in the story. And knowing it is true makes it a greater story.

After reading this blog, I'm writing ideas on my post it stickers, and I'm running out of stickers this is so good! We humans been the temple makes me think of us been salvific story tellers, sub-creators, image bearers, in a more powerful, real way, dramatically present in our every day reality, the Kingdom resides in us and it can explode, become perceivable in any moment. Our hearts are windows of Heaven! That is just pure beauty, our hearts become more than an echo, a closer source of the voice, so people can really hear God's voice through our hearts...

I love it! That was the biggest revelation to me as I read through Simply Christian. For some reason I always think of the intersections of the Kingdom as being "around" or "near" me but hadn't made the connection that the intersection is actually "in" me. How cool is that?!

What a liberating and humbling revelation! God has made us his temple and the interesection between heaven and earth. Now that is something to write songs about. I could get a good hallalujah going about that. Oh that songs would give us a ground for praise instead of just an injunction to praise. God has done something in time and space that draws out of us undeniable praise. Instead of just repeating over and over again how much I love God, I can recount his character expressed by his actions which draw love out of me. Just saying how much I love God is really praising me. "look how much I love God. I am really something." The truth that God has given us the role of temple is worthy of singing about. Not so much about us as his grace.
